Deposit REFERENCE TO RECORD 050: BUREAU OF MINES EXTENSIVELY DRILLED PEGMATITE DURING LATE 1930S AND EARLY 1940S. REFERENCE TO RECORD 070: PEGMATITE HAS LARGEST OCCURRENCE OF MICROLITE IN THE U.S. PEGMATITE MINED FOR ITS LEPIDOLITE, SPODUMEME, BERYL, AND MICROLITE. PEGMATITE SHOWS COMPLEX OUTER PEGMATITE CONTAINS QUARTZ-MICROCLINE-MUSCOVITE-ALBIT FACIES. INNER ZONE CONTAINS TANTALUM-LITHIUM MINERALS. CAS ITE FOUND AS A MINOR OCCURRENCE. ONE 30-TON MICROLITE CONC CONTAINED 0.23% CASSITERITE (WAR MINERALS REPORT 310, 1944 REFERENCE TO RECORDS 120 AND 130: DEPOSIT PRINCIPALLY QUARRI (APPROXIMATELY 40000 TONS), BUT IN CENTER OF SOUTH FACE, O MINED BY ROOM AND PILLAR METHOD.
