| Deposit | THIS MINE LIES APPROXIMATELY 220 YARDS FROM CHURCH. THERE IS ALSO SOME NEW DEVELOPMENT JUST SE OF THIS SITE. THEREFORE THERE MAY BE SOME OBJECTION TO MINING HERE. SAMPLE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF DISSEMINATED CHROMITE GRAB SAMPLE DUMP AS GIVEN IN USGS BULL 1082K, TABLE 6 IS AS FOLLOWS: CR2O3 .6%, AL203 9.5%, FEO 12.1%, MGO 24.3%, T102 .08%, SI02 14.8%, H20 .4%. THE CR:FE RATIO=2.2:1.0-SAMPLE DOES NOT MEET REQUIREMENT GRADE CLASSIFICATION. NO MILLING OF THE ORE WAS EVER ATTEMPED AND AS MINED MUCH OF ORE MUST HAVE BEEN TOO LOW GRADE TO BE MARKETABLE. THE MINE WAS SUCCESSFUL ALTHOUGH A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY AND WORK WENT INTO . DATE OF COMMENTS 1975. |
