Deposit REFER TO FIG 4 (USBM IC 7069) FOR PLAN VIEW OF COATS DIKE. SMALL STOPE OF RICH CASSITERITE ORE MINED OUT ON 60-FT LEVEL 1889. CASSITERITE ASSOCIATED WITH PEARLY MICA. TRACES OF FRAMITE HAVE BEEN FOUND IN VEIN. MOST VEIN MATERIAL IS QUA MINE WORKINGS CONSIST OF 2 SHAFTS (400 AND 110 FT DEEP) FLOO A 20-FT LONG ADIT AND A 25-FT OPEN CUT. UNZONED PEGMATITE DIKE OF QTZ MUSC BIOT AB AND PLAG,DIPPING CASSITERITE IS ASSOCIATED WITH MICA AND DISSEM IN QTZ TRACES OF WOLFRAMITE HAVE BEEN REPORTED A 6 FT BY 12 FT SHAFT WAS SUNK 400 FT AND EXTENSIVE DRIFTING NE ON THE 60 125 AND 225 FOOT LEVELS BELOW 225 THE SHAFT IS NO LONGER IN THE VEIN IN 1888 2670 LBS OF ORE WAS SHIPPED AND AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT WA IN 1889 HAS BEEN NO ACTIVITY AT PROPERTY SINCE 1894 AT LEAST TOP 100 FT OF SHAFT STILL ACCESSIBLE HARD COPY FILE CONTAINS FILE REPORT PLUS MAPS.
