Deposit PRIOR TO 1908, 1500 TONS OF DENSE MAGNETITE ORE WERE MINED. PROBABLY RANGED FROM 50 TO 60 PER CENT IRON. IN 1927 BETHLEH STEEL RAN AN EXTENSIVE SURVEY WHOSE RESULTS WERE NOT ENCOURA IN 1942 MR. DECK FAILED TO PRODUCE ORE HERE FROM AN OPEN PIT THE IRON ORE WOULD APPEAR TO BE OF NO COMMERCIAL IMPORTANCE
