Comments on the reserve resource information

  • IN Q1 & Q2, THE 90% VALUES ARE THE SURFACE TONNAGES. THE DIFFERENCE IN THE INCREASED TONNAGE AT THE 75% LEVEL IS THE RESERVE AMMOUNT ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE UNDERGROUND MINES. RECOVERY OF UNDERGROUND RESOURCES IS 75%.

Deposit DIMENSIONS OF OREBODY APPLY ONLY TO THE SOUTH OREBODY. NORTH OREBODY DIMENSIONS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE. INITIAL OVERBURDEN THICKNESS IS ASSUMED TO BE MINIMAL SINCE THE OREBODY CROPS OUT. HOWEVER, IT CAN BE ASSUMED THAT THE ANGLE OF DECLINE OR DOWN-DIP IS GREAT ENOUGH THAT OVERBURDEN STRIPPING BECOMES PROHIBITIVE. THIS WOULD THEN ACCOUNT FOR THE UNDERGROUND MINING PROPOSALS. COST DATA FOR THIS PROPERTY WERE GATHERED UNDER BUREAU OF MINES CONTRACT J0225019, "THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENGINEERING AND COST DATA FOR FOREIGN GRAPHITE PROPERTIES"; THE CONTRACT WAS AWARDED TO ZELLARS-WILLIAMS, INC. IN SEPTEMBER 1982.
