Comments on the production information

  • A $543.47 SMELTING COST AND A $12.85 MILLING COST PER TONNE ARE INCURRED IN THE PRODUCTION OF PRODUCT A, TIN CONCENTRATE. THE PYRITE/ARSENOPYRITE CONCENTRATES ALSO CONTAIN BASE METAL VALUES BUT THESE ARE NOT ECONOMIC TO RECOVER EITHER AT CURRENT PRICES.

Comments on other economic factors

  • THE SOUTH CROFTY MILL PROCESSES PENDARVES ORE. EXTENSIVE STUDIES HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED TO SEPARATE WOLFRAMITE FROM CASSITERITE IN THE TIN CONCENTRATES. PART OF THE CASSITERITE CONTAINS INCLUSIONS OF IRON OXIDE WHICH PREVENT ITS SEPARATION FROM WOLFRAMITE BY MAGNETIC METHODS.
  • TIN CONCENTRATES ARE SHIPPED IN BULK TO THE CAPPER PASS SMELTER/REFINERY NEAR HULL.
