Deposit ORE WOULD REQUIRE CRUSHING AND SINTERING PRIOR TO SMELTING (CONCENTRATION NOT FEASIBLE). DEPOSIT IS PART OF THE BAHARIYA OASIS SERIES OF DEPOSITS LENTICULAR BEDS OF MIDDLE EOCENE AGE WITH IRREGULAR THICK - NESS (1 M TO 12 M) AND VARIABLE OVERBURDEN ( AS LITTLE AS 1 M OF SAND AND GRAVEL TO 40 M OF CLAYS,QUARTZITES AND SANDSTONES. OTHER 4 DEPOSITS OF BAHARIYA OASIS ARE: EL GEDIDA (SEQ.NO. 729-000-0006, NASSAR (25,000,000 MT AT 43.7 % FE), EL- HARRA ( 34,000,000 MT AT 42 % FE) AND EL-HEIZ (160,000, 000 MT AT 28 % FE). CO-ORDINATES OF GEBEL GHORABI, 300 KM SW OF ALEXANDRIA.
