Comments on the location information

  • Anorthosite body is large--36 miles north-south, 10 to 18 miles wide. Covers most of Townships 16 to 21 N, and Ranges 71 and 72W. Two quarries are in Sec. 2, T16N, R72W. Clearly the 77W in Bull. 50 is a typo, fig. 1, p. 5 of Bull. 43 shows the correct location. Used the quarry as the location for the entire "district" as there is no information specific to the quarry that doesn't apply to the body as a whole.
