Deposit NO ALASKA KARDEX. PRODUCTION PRIOR TO 1966: 41,642 OZ. OF GOLD, 5,445 OZ. OF SILVER (USBMAFOC FILES). IN THE PAST MINING WAS DONE BY MEANS OF A HYDRAULIC PLANT AND ELEVATOR (B864). RONALD ROSANDER WORKED COLORADO CREEK WITH A DOZER IN 1975. ADDRESS: RONALD ROSANDER, MCGRATH, AK 99627 3 FT. OF MUCK UNDERLAIN BY 8-17 FT OF GRAVEL. THE GRAVEL IS COARSE WITH MANY LG BOULDERS, CONSISTS OF GRANITIC ROCKS AND CHERT, WITH SMALLER AMTS OF BASALTIC ROCKS, GREENSTONE, AND SANDSTONE. THE BEDROCK IS A SOFT, IRON-STAINED SANDSTONE, PROBABLY OF UPPER CRETACEOUS OR EOCENE AGE. THE GOLD EXTENDS FROM LOWER 2 FT. OF GRAVEL THROUGH SEVERAL FT. OF BEDROCK. UNREPORTED PRODUCTION DURING 1993 (SR 48).
