Comments on the geologic information

  • INITIAL INTEREST WAS CREATED IN AREA BY OUTCROP OF MOLY- BEARING, QTZ-PYRITE VEINS EXPOSED ON THE WEST FRINGE OF HOFFMAN PARK (SEE MAP ON FILE). THESE RANGE UP TO SEVERAL FEET IN WIDTH AND EXTEND AS FAULT-VEINS ALONG A NE-SW TREND FOR SEVERAL TENS TO SEVERAL HUNDRED OF FEET. LEAD, ZINC AND FLUORITE OFTEN ACCOMPANY THE MOLYBDENITE. IN OTHER INSTANCES MOLYBENITE OCCURS IN QTZ-PYRITE STRINGERS AND VEINLETS. PROPYLITIC ALTERATION IS RATHER GENERAL WITH LOCAT INTER- VALS OF MODERATE TO STRONG ARGILLIC AND SERICITIC ALTERATION PARTICULARLY ALONG CRUSHED & MINERALIZED FAULTS AND JOINT SYSTEMS IT IS POSSIBLE THAT PREVAILING, WEAKER PROPYLITIC ALTERA- TION INTERSECTED IN THESE HOLES REPRESENTS THE UPPER FRINGE OF DEEPER SERICITIC AND POTASSIC ALTERATION.
