| Deposit | ZONES OF FINE GRAINED QUARTZ, CEMENTED RHYOLITE BRECCIA, AND SILICIFIED FERRIC IRON-STAINED RHYOLITE THAT SHOW ARGILLIC HYDROTHERMAL ALTERATION. 1 SAMPLE WAS TAKEN BY THE USBM IN 1982: 1.62 PPM AU 6.86 PPM AG. THIS WAS A 4 FT LONG OUTCROP CHIP, NOT HIGH GRADE. 18 SAMPLES WERE TAKEN IN THE AREA BY THE USBM IN 1983 ONE 10 FT CHIP HAD 24.79 PPM AU AND 10.02 PPM AG. 2 OTHER SAMPLES HAD .3 AND .16 PPM AU 8 SAMPLES WERE TAKEN BY THE USBM IN 1984, AS OF 1/85 RESULTS WERE NOT IN (SEE BOB LAMBETH, WFOC FOR DATA). SUCH SAMPLES MAY BE INDICATORS OF A LOW GRADE DISSEMINATED AU-AG DEPOSIT. |
