Deposit THE PEGMATITE IS EXPOSED FOR ABOUT NORTHWEST ALONG ITS STRIKE AND IN PLACES DIPS 30-40 DEGREES WALL ROCKS GENERALLY STRIKE NORTHWEST, DIP 30-40 DEGS. NE.,A LOCALLY TRANSECTED BY THE PEGMATITE. REC/010 A FEW CASSITERITE AND COLUMBITE GRAINS WERE FOUND IN BROKEN ROCK IN THE BOTTOM OF THE QUARRY. FELDSPAR AND MICA WERE PREVIOUSLY MINED HERE. THIS DEPOSIT I OF THE FEW PROMISING MICA PROSPECTS IN MAINE.SOME HIGH GRADE SPAR COULD ALSO BE RECOVERED. CASSITERITE AND COLUMBITE MIGH COVERED AS BYPRODUCTS THE PEGMATITE HAS AN APLITIC BORDER ZONE. INSIDE THIS IS A F COURSE GRAINED WALL ZONE OF QTZ,PLAGIOCLASE,PERTHITE,TOURMAL NET,BIOTITE AND MUSCOVITE.THE APPARENT CORE IS COMPOSED CHIE COURSE GRAINED PLAG., PERTHITE, QTZ. DATE OF COMMENTS 1975.
