NEWPORT SHAFT LIES ABOUT 500 M IN 1955 PICKANDS MATHER AND CO. TOOK OVER THE GENEVA MINE AN OPERATED IT ALONG WITH THE NEWPORT. THE GENEVA-NEWPORT MINE CLOSED IN 1965 |
