Comments on the production information

  • Staatz and others (1963, p. 139) report the following production between 1943 and June 1948:
    Potassium feldspar (tons) 2,484.68
    Scrap mica (tons) 57.3
    Spodumene (tons) 211.55
    Beryl (tons) 30.5
    Tantalite ore (tons) 2
    The above figures include 120 tons of spodumene, 15 tons of beryl, and 2 tons of tantalite ore estimated from stockpiles at the mine. The latter was rough-cobbed, and was estimated to be about 1.3 tantalite, 2/3 rock.
