Comments on the site identification

  • Grossly miscategorized. Was listed as a salt deposit. This is a pyrite occurrence. Irregular quarz veins 3 ft. to 10 ft. wide parallel schist which strikes N 45W to N55W. Several narrow pegmatite dikes are found in the vicinity. Rock on the dump is mostly quartz wiht bunches of pyrite.
