  • THE CHROMITE DEPOSIT IS LEASED TO PALAWAN CONSOLIDATED MINING COMPANY, INC. WHICH IS A PRIVATELY OWNED PHILIPPINE FIRM. THE OWNERS OF THE CHROMITE LEASES INCLUDE PALAWAN SYNDICATE VENTURES INC. (PSV) AND MR. E.G. VITO. BOTH FIRMS BY TWO SEPARATE OPERATING AGREEMENTS EXCECUTED ON AUGUST 22 1975, OFFERED THE LEASES TO PALAWAN CONSOLIDATED. PSV AND MR. VITO ARE REPRESENTED IN A JOINT VENTURE FIRM KNOWN AS INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES, INC.

  • BETWEEN 2,000 AND 4,000 MT OF CHROMITE PRODUCTS PRODUCED IN 1980 BUT NO PRODUCTION BY 1981/1982. PALAWAN CONSOLIDATED IS (WAS) THE OPERATING COMPANY OF THE JOINT VENTURE. FOR ANALYSIS: 164,650 MTPY ROM (13.6 PCT MASSIVE ORE, 25.3 PCT BANDED ORE AND 61.1 PCT SAND ORE) FOR: 19,300 MTPY LUMP AT 52.3 % CR2O3, 13,060 MTPY CONCS.AT 48 % CR2O3 AND 6,230 MTPY CONCS.AT 46 % CR2O3. CHROMITE MR,CHROMITE MET AND CHROMITE MC , RESPECTIVELY.
  • AS OF 1978, PALAWAN SYNDICATE VENTURES AND E.G. VITO OWNED 13 MINING CLAIMS, ONLY 3 OF WHICH HAD BEEN EXPLORED IN DETAIL. RESULTS OF EXPLORATION OF THESE 3 LEASES WERE 232,117 METRIC TONS OF SAND ORE AT 3.94% CR2O3; 33,068 METRIC TONS OF "BANDED" ORE AT 25.05% CR2O3 AND AN INSIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MASSIVE ORE. THE TONNAGE IN Q-MATRIX 1 REPRESENTS THE TONNAGE TO BE EXPECTED FROM ALL 13 CLAIMS ASSUMING THAT THE SAME PROPORTIONS AND AMOUNTS OF ORE ARE FOUND ON THE UNEXPLORED CLAIMS. M9C4=M1C2.
