  • LATERITE ORE CONTAINING 2.9% NI IS SMELTED TO PRODUCE FERRONICKEL CONTAINING 41.5% NI. YIELDS SET B ASSUMES THAT CERRO MATOSO WILL MAINTAIN PRODUCT QUALITY AND RECOVERY FOR THEIR PROPOSED CAPACITY UPGRADE.

  • MUCHO METALLURGICAL PROBLEMS, BUT POTENTIALLY A VERY LARGE PRODUCER. PRODUCES 61,297 MT OF FERRONICKEL GRADING 37 PCT NI , OR 23,000 MT OF NI EQUIVALENTS. IN LATE 1988, MOST PROBLEMS WITH FURNACE LININGS WERE REPORTEDLY SOLVED.
