Deposit PATTERSON MENTIONS A REPORT IN MINING WORLD MAGAZINE OF 1960 VINTAGE THAT A PORTUGESE ALUMINUM COMPANY HAD DEVELOPED BAUXITE DEPOSITS IN THE DONDO DISTRICT AND PLANS FOR AN AL203 REFINERY. REPORT PROBABLY SPURIOUS AS CANNOT FIND ANY REFERENCE TO A BAUXITE DEPOSIT ON 1965 MINERAL OCCURENCES MAP OF ANGOLA LOCATION UNKNOWN (EXISTENCE OF DEPOSIT NOT EVEN DEFINITE). CO-ORDINATES ARE OF DONDO, 150 KM SE OF LUANDA.
