Deposit RUTALA MINE IS A 25 KM SECTION FROM UMFULI RIVER SOUTH TO A POINT 3.2 KM NORTH OF THE UMSUESUE RIVER-EAST SIDE OF DYKE-LENGTH COVERED BY 6 CLAIMS. THE RUTALA OPERATIONS APPEAR NOT TO BE IN OPERATION AS OF 1981, ALTHOUGH GIVEN CERTAIN CONDITIONS IT WOULD BE A LIKELY SECTION FOR PRODUCTION TO COMMENCE. THIS ANALYSIS TREATS A SINGLE SECTION OF THE GREAT DYKE-"THE RUTALA SECTION"- AS ONE MINING UNIT. IN REALITY,AS IN THIS CASE, MORE THAN ONE COMPANY MAY HOLD LEASE AREAS OVER THE SECTION DESCRIBED AND MORE THAN ONE COMPANY CAN BE PRODUCING SIMULTANEOUSLY FROM THE SECTION. TO ANALYZE THE GREAT DYKE FOR AVAILABILITY, IT WAS NECESSARY TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION IN A LOGICAL, COMPARTMENTALIZED FORMAT. THE RUTALA SECTION AS ANALYZED CONSITS OF A 25 KILOMETER LONG SECTION COVERING THE EAST LIMB OF THE GREAT DYKE STUCTURE FROM THE UMFULI RIVER SOUTHWARDS TO A POINT 3.5KM NORTH OF THE UMSWESWE RIVER. HOWEVER, SINCE IT IS KNOWN THAT THE COMPANY DOES NOT OWN THIS ENTIRE LENGTH, ASSUMPTION WAS MADE FOR ESTIMATION OF RESERVES/RESOURCES THAT ONLY 18KM OF STRIKE LENGTH APPLIES TO RUTALA MINES OPERATIONS.
