MINE REPORTED TO HAVE TWO MAJOR PROBLEMS IN 1993. 1. RESERVES MAY RUN OUT WITHIN 5 YR UNLESS FRESH INVEST. MADE. 2. CIS INTERESTS ARE CURRENTLY HAVING DIFFICULTY MAKING FOREIGN EXCHANGE PAYMENTS.

Deposit DEBELE MINE LOCATED 20 KM SW OF KINDIA & 100 KM NE CONAKRY. THE DEBELE DEPOSIT CAPS A PLATEAU 5000 M LONG(E-W), 2000M WIDE(N-S), BAUXITE BED PINCHES TO 3 M AND SWELLS TO 12 M AT PLACES. AL203 CONTENT REACHES 60% IN SOME PLACES, AL203 CONTENT IS IS LOWER AT DEBELE THAN AT SANGREDI OR FRIA MINES. PREVIOUS EVALUATORS: GOLDER ASSOCIATES, BJ WEST, MAFO. ORE IS CRUSHED & SCREENED USING JAW CRUSHER AND HAMMER MILL ORE FED EITHER TO STOCKPILE OR DIRECTLY TO RAILCARS. ORE RAILED TO PORT FACILITIES AT CONAKRY IN 3-4 U CONSISTING OF ELEVEN 60-TON BOTTOM DUMP CARS/UNIT,O HAUL TIME IS 4.5 HRS,THERE ARE THREE HAULS TO CONAKRY PER.
