Relative position This prospect is at an elevation of about 4500 ft. on a ridge 1.7 miles south of VABM Eagle. It is in the NE1/4 sec. 5, T. 11 S., R. 6 E., of the Copper River Meridian. The location of the site is accurate to within 2000 ft. This prospect is shown as #30 in Cobb (1972: MF-392).

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = The country rock at this prospect is schist of the Upper Cretaceous Valdez Group (Moffit, 1914). The deposit consists of a quartz vein about one foot thick containing chalcopyrite, galena, and pyrite. Assays indicate 2.9 oz. Au/ton or higher (Moffit, 1914).
  • Age = Late Cretaceous or younger.
