Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = The country rocks in the area of the Metals prospect are Upper Triassic limestone and basalt flows. The deposit is in these bedded rocks and apparently consists of arsenopyrite(?) disseminations and arsenopyrite(?)-bearing quartz(?) stockwork veinlets. Geochemical analyses show that this is primarily a gold prospect (Balen 1990: OFR 34-90).
  • Age = Late Triassic or younger.
