Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = The general area of the Peaches prospect is underlain by Lower .Paleozoic or possibly Upper Precambrian schists cut by Late Cretaceous stocks and Tertiary sills and dikes. The deposit is in schist, and consists of stratiform layers of massive sulfides, chiefly galena and sphalerite, accompanied by quartz and sericite (Inmet Mining, oral communication, 1999).
  • Age = Mineralization probably is syngenetic with the Lower Paleozoic or Upper Precambrian host rocks.
