Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = The country rock in the area of this site is Silurian trondhjemite that locally is sheared and sericitized, probably owing to Upper Cretaceous, greenschist-grade regional metamorphism (Berg, 1972 [I 684]). The occurrence consists of sparse base-metal sulfide mineralization in the trondhjemite, and is based on a sample of trondhjemite containing Cu-Pb-Zn sulfide minerals collected by a road construction crew in 1990 (Karl, 1992, loc. 17).
