Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = At this site propylitically altered dacite(?) in the Oligocene to Miocene Unga Formation (Wilson and others, 1995) locally contains disseminated pyrite and posiibly other, undetermined, sulfides. Three rock samples collected here by the U.S. Geological Survey in the 1980s were reported to be anomalous in antimony, arsenic, lead, silver, and zinc (Wilson and others, 1988).
