Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This site is described as an altered zone probably associated with a Tertiary pluton (MacKevett and Holloway, 1977). Detterman and others (1987) however, indicate no intrusive in the area and that the rocks consist of andesitic rocks of Miocene and Oligocene age and of sedimentary strata of the Jurassic Naknek Formation.
