Deposit SALT BEDS ARE PRESENT INTERBEDDED WITH DOLOMITE AND SHALE. 1000 FEET OF OVERBURDEN CONSISTING OF 100 FEET OF GLACIAL DRIFT AND 600 FEET OF LIMESTONE AND SANDSTONE CONTAINING MANY WATERCOURSES. BED "A" AT 1060 DEPTH WAS FLECKED WITH RED-COLORED SPOTS AND HIGH SHALE CONTENT. BED "B" HIGH QUALITY (PURE) IS LOCATED 100 FEET BELOW BED "A".
