Comments on development

  • The property consists of 52 claims located in 1983-85 by Sam Bida and Leon Belaustegui.
In 1997 Altaur Gold optioned a 60% interest in the Rock Creek gold property from Brancote U.S. Inc. Previous exploration on the property outlined a gold resource of approximately 800,000 tons grading 0.045 opt in a zone of brecciated quartz at the south end of the claims. Current exploration is focused on possible deeper-seated gold mineralization indicated by opaline alteration with strongly anomalous mercury on the northern part of the claim block.
