Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Uranium and vanadium mineralization occurs in lenses of limonitic, carbonaceous sandstone and arkose in the Farisita Conglomerate. Nelson-Moore and others (1978) report that the unit has good potential to host additional significant uranium deposits.

Comments on the production information

  • Only six tons of ore was produced from this prospective district. All of the ore was produced from the Anal No. 1 mine. Four other known prospects are in the district. These are: Delz Ranch, Isabell Group, Whitecliff 1-26, and Virginia-Verne 1-6. Nelson-Moore and others (1978) consider the district to be highly prospective for the discovery of new uranium reserves in sandtone-hosted deposits.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • Resources are not known.
