  • The Mead property is 4 lode and 5 placer claims, all of which are heald by location. Owners are Melvin S. Mead, John Keahey, Roger Lawson, Norman Mead, and Northern Development Co. This group obtained mineral rights, under lease, on adjoining 200 acres of patented land owned by C.J. Gammon of Buffalo Wy. H.V. George holds the compbined area under a lease dated Nov. 10, 1951.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • Bull. 50, p. 130, lists 3 different sites within these same 4 sections. Secondary pyrolusite nodules in Flathead and Wind River Formations. A reserve of 300,000 to 1,000,000 tons.
