Comments on the reserve resource information

  • Reserves are reported only for the Nacimiento Mine, not for the entire district/deposit. As of May 2, 1980 (McLemore and Hoffman, 2005, p. 450) reserves are 5.4 million metric tons at 0.56% Cu and an additional 11.8 million mt at 0.48%. As of 1969, reserves at the Nacimiento Mine were estimated to be 9.6 million tons (short tons?) at 0.71% Cu (Woodward and others, 1974, p. 108)
